International programme accreditation

EVALAG offers assessment procedures for international programme accreditation. The criteria for the assessment procedure are based on the ESG. An expert team analyses the study programme, visits the campus of the HEI for a site visit and writes a report about its findings. Subsequently, in case of a successful assessment, the EVALAG accreditation committee awards the label for international programme accreditation. There is the possibility to group up to four study programmes into a cluster in case these are coming from similar or neighbouring disciplines.

EVALAG accredits study programmes and makes recommendations for their development by giving an external perspective to the programmes. The criteria refer to the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) and include an analysis of Part 1 of the ESG.

The criteria for an international programme accreditation are grouped into the following categories:

  • Programme profile
  • Curriculum
  • Student assessment
  • Organisation of the study progrgamme
  • Resources
  • Quality assurance

The assessment procedure will be carried out using the peer review methodology with a site visit by an expert team. Upon successful assessment, the EVALAG accreditation commission will award its quality label for study programmes. The assessment report will be published on the EVALAG website.

EVALAG is a member of ENQA and it is registered in EQAR.
