Notes on data protection

German and European data protection law (in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)) is binding for EVALAG. EVALAG protects your data within the framework of the legal regulations and follows the principle of data minimisation. EVALAG works exclusively on servers hosted in Germany.

Below you will find information about what data is collected during your visit to our website and how it is used.

Anonymised user data is collected and analysed using the web statistics tool Matomo. Matomo uses a cookie to generate information about your use of this website, including your IP address. You can set your browser to prevent cookies from being stored on your computer. This will not affect your use of this website. We have set Matomo so that your IP address is anonymised when it is saved. The data is only used to statistically analyse user data and is deleted after a maximum of 12 months.

Further personal data is only collected if you provide this information voluntarily, for example when making an enquiry or registering for an EVALAG seminar (further information on the scope and form of this collection can be found here. When you register to receive the EVALAG newsletter on a regular basis, only your name and e-mail address are recorded.

If you have provided us with personal data, we will only use it to answer your enquiries, to process contracts concluded with you and for technical administration. Your personal data will only be passed on or transmitted to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of contract processing or for billing purposes or if you have given your prior consent. In these cases, compliance with the high data protection standards set by us is also mandatory for third parties. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Stored personal data will be deleted if you withdraw your consent to its storage, if knowledge of it is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.

Our data is stored in encrypted form in a high-security data centre in Germany. Data transmissions are also exclusively encrypted. In addition, we use a range of other technical and organisational measures for data processing, storage and security that correspond to the current state of IT technology. Data access is only possible by means of access authorisations previously granted by EVALAG; self-registration is excluded. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating by e-mail, so we recommend that you send confidential information by post.
