Assessment procedure
EVALAG offers formative and summative evaluations. These are designed and carried out as so-called informed peer review procedures, i.e. with the involvement of external experts from academia and, if required, students and representatives of professional practice.

What is an informed peer review process?
In order for external experts to make well-informed, fact-based judgements, they need a suitable information base. As a rule, a so-called self-report is therefore prepared by the unit to be evaluated. EVALAG provides a question guide based on the assessment criteria in advance.
Sometimes existing reports and other sources of information can also be used. These other sources also include quantitative and qualitative data collection, e.g. standardised surveys or interviews with stakeholders. The appropriate "information package" is determined in close consultation with the client.
On this basis, the external experts conduct interviews with representatives of all status groups during a site visit (on-site or digital). The results are documented in a report, broken down into status, assessment and recommendations.
