As part of the overall Hochschulweiterbildung@BW project, evalag has been responsible for supporting quality development and creating a new quality seal for academic and artistic continuing education since the end of March 2022 and initially until the end of 2024.
In the coming weeks and months, evalag will design and gradually implement specific counselling, qualification and networking offers for higher education continuing education in the field of quality development. These are aimed at all groups of people who are responsible for the implementation or quality assurance of continuing education programmes at state universities and academies: Managers and staff in internal continuing education institutions, lecturers in continuing education programmes and also quality management staff. In addition, there will be specific offers for employees in the regional and specialist networking centres for academic continuing education in Baden-Württemberg.
In the field of quality assurance, evalag is initially responsible for the conception and then also for the implementation of the certification procedures as part of the new quality seal. In doing so, evalag can build on its experience with its own tried and tested procedures (see www.evalag.de/leistungen/zertifizierung ).
The quality seal will set quality standards that those interested in continuing education can use as a guide, thereby increasing transparency in the growing market for continuing education programmes. To this end, university continuing education institutions and individual continuing education programmes will be assessed on the basis of defined criteria in streamlined, needs-based certification procedures.
An ongoing, close exchange between evalag and the management team at the University of Freiburg ensures that the measures and programmes managed by evalag and all other measures and programmes under the umbrella of Hochschulweiterbildung@BW are coordinated in the best possible way.
Due to the variety of tasks involved, the project is being handled by a team at evalag:
- Viola Küßner will primarily oversee network meetings and drive forward the conception and coordination of counselling and qualification offers. At the same time, she will act in dual leadership with Milena Müller as project manager.
- Milena Müller is responsible for the conception of the new quality seal and the associated certification procedures as well as committee support.
- Elena Gladkova will be responsible for community management and liaising with the regional and specialist networking centres for academic continuing education.
- Dr Peter Mall will incorporate the special requirements of artistic continuing education into the project and will be responsible for project controlling and the fulfilment of internal project verification obligations.
- The two foundation directors, Dr Aletta Hinsken and Dr Sibylle Jakubowicz, are also involved in the project in various roles.
- Other colleagues from the evalag team are called in as required to carry out the certification procedures and other tasks, including public relations and evaluation.
We will keep you informed about current developments, offers and dates!
