New management duo

Since 1 February 2022, evalag has been managed by a Foundation Board consisting of two people for the first time. The new foundation directors are Dr Aletta Hinsken and Dr Sibylle Jakubowicz. The two were able to prevail against all external applicants as the new dual leadership in an open application process. Together, they have more than 19 years of experience at evalag.

Dr Aletta Hinsken has been with evalag since 2015 and has worked in the field of accreditation across the entire portfolio of services. She has been Head of the Accreditation, Certification and Assessment department since 2016. In the management team, she is primarily responsible for human resources. For her new role as Head of the Foundation, she brings experience from her studies in science management, but also from various university activities, including teaching, university didactics and her work as a mentor for the career development of women in science. She will also retain her role as Head of Department as Chair of the evalag Foundation.

Dr Sibylle Jakubowicz has worked at evalag since 2008 and was primarily involved in advising on organisational development, further training for university staff and evaluation. She has been Head of the Consulting, Evaluation and Organisational Development department since 2009 and has also been Deputy Chair of the Foundation since 2011. As a member of the Management Board, she is responsible in particular for the area of finance. In addition to her training as an economist, she brings with her experience from international research projects and her work as head of an international business studies programme at an Austrian university of applied sciences. She will also retain her position as head of department.

New evalag statutes

In order to enable dual leadership in the management of evalag, a comprehensive amendment to the articles of association was necessary. Further regulations were also specified, such as the online organisation of meetings. The amended articles of association were published in the Baden-Württemberg Official Gazette on 29 July 2021 and thus came into force.
